NW Iowa | Have the same thing in my wifes family, her brother in law, a supposed child counselor seems to think that he can be a parent to our children as well as his. The truth is his 2 kids, which are old enough to know better, are the bratiest(pardon my spelling) kids around. So that being said who's kids need better parenting?? Its kinda funny really and we all get a charge out of it when he says something about our kids and then just as it comes out of his mouth one of his decides to act up. He will pay for this parenting style later on when these two are teenagers. Most times what them two need is a swift kick in the butt, but not this guy. Apparently he thinks a "time out" is the best, well not in my house it isn't and never will be. I am certainly not a complete harda$$ but simple stern parenting goes a long ways and my kids love and respect me afterwards so those that think they are doing it all the right way like my brother in law I hope you know what is to come. | |
