Subject: ? about buying corn calls?

western iowa,by Denison
I usually feed some cattle every year and end up feeding new crop corn to my fat cattle-my question is what to do for next year-do I buy the physical corn now or do I buy call's for sept on the board-I usually raise all the corn I feed-but with it continuing to be dry-and short on moisture do not want to be short corn come fall-even though I raise it.That or I back off the number of cattle I feed and just sit on the sidelines?
Not really wanting to buy a bunch of corn and then watch it go down in price-or maybe buy puts to?Buy 10 calls and also 10 puts -if I buy calls and we have a short crop and I cant buy the physical corn will the calls even do me any good?
