I've put 2000 miles on a 2012 arctic cat 700 hdx this year. First thing I did was to move the air intake up under the hood. I used a shop vac extension hose kit. The filter stays clean for a long time, I have only cleaned it once because it gets clean air. Whoever designs where the air intakes are on these things should fired.
