The Polaris's have a fairly good air cleaner that needs no oil, resembles the air filter on a tractor. I just bought a Donaldson air filter for my RZR as they are a better built filter than the Polaris original. I ride in the Arizona desert and having a good air filter is very important. Not one of those high performance low restriction filters that you can look right through. I do notice a lot of atv's and utv's have terrible air filters, I guess they think there isn't much dust,or they want to sell new engines. The dust out there will eat the cylinders up, I know because I had another brand of atv that did that with 3600 miles. We have tractors that run in constant dirt without many problems because they come equipped with good air filter systems that don't need to be oil everyday. I was told to put a nylon stocking over my filter and am amazed how much dirt that collects before the filter.
