| Dixonman if you would explain a little more. I have a St 280 series 3 with a STD trans. And have often though about buying a 251 with an Allison to pull a planter, just not familiar with the operational side and what you can do and how they operate. It's simple I know just never drove one. When a person thinks of an "automatic" you think vehicle and how they operate. I would like to set the throttle and bump up and down a gear or two with the selector on the ends when pulling a planter rather than throttle down, make the turn and reverse the cycle. Will the Allisons operate like this? Again a silly question but not familiar. | |
