We had a little unintended experiment this fall. I thought maybe the corn stalks would be easier to disk and get the NH3 rig through if we let them stand and rot as long as possible before disking. A few got disked early for another reason. The ones that got disked early look much more decomposed. I think its important to keep the trash warm and wet as much as possible. Being on the ground helps with that. The earlier the harvest, the more they break down too. I admire your real world experimentation. I just don't think I could get some of the things you do to work in our terrain. Still can learn something from it, though.
