Morris, IL | We got a no-till disc, that would be my cheap way to try it. If i'm doing that might as well chop everything up or nothing as all because once i disc it your not going to be able to tell, i think. It doesn't cut like it use to but new blades or just sharpening them would work like new again. Relatives have done some COC with DMI but only few acres and it's not something you can depend on for many acres or so i'm told. The DMI worked decent in soybeans stubble. Seems like limited tillage farming, it all starts with the chopper and chaff spreader (don't currently have one) and the corn head. | |
