S Illinois | Here is this weeks report for soybeans. http://www.fas.usda.gov/esrquery/esrq.aspx
Decreases from unknown are accounted for by the difference between "New Sales" and "Gross New Sales". This past weeks report shows very few net unknown decreases came from China. Now these decreases in unknown do not automatically mean that sales have been cancelled. Actual decreases in sales only occur when "New Sales" are actually negative.
A good way to look at Unknown location export sales is to think of them as fuel in a fuel storage tank. The fuel can go anywhere at that point. When you fill a tractor out of that fuel tank, the fuel does not disappear, it just is accounted for in a different place. The only way you lose fuel is if it is taken back by the fuel supplier. | |
