S.E. Iowa
I have a 3588, I have replaced pivot bushings in it, watch the driveline, they can be noisy. Dualing it up will help it ride better especially going down the road. I run low tire pressures and it can bounce on the road. If you pull a grain cart on the road they are light in the rear end turning corners, I like my 1486 better for that. I pull a 28ft field cultivator, 6 x 18 plow and a 5 shank in line ripper with mine as the biggest loads. I pull my tile plow I made with it, however I have to put several tractors in front of it to plow tile in. I have put 6inch tile as much as 5 ft deep, again with help. I think you might be dissapointed in gear selection with a 3788 as I think they have only 3 gears. Hydraulics the only problem with mine was I could not move the single 5 inch cylinder as I was plowing tile, The load was too great. I fixed that by putting two cylinders on the plow. It was a plow problem not the tractor.
