SE Kansas | Just acquired new pasture. Previous owner hadn't put cattle on it as it need fences in bad way.Grass/fescue is very good. Ponds hold water and creek runs all year long..However, there is abundance of what appears to be a locust population. There are mature locusts trees that are in fence row but more concerning to me is the saplings in middle of pasture. Thorns are sharp and long. Thinking maybe honey locusts? What is the best method removal you've used successfully? Cattle won't be in pasture until late winter or early spring. Bushog, chemical, fire, dozer, etc? | |
