Subject: High accuracy GPS data into an iPad via RS-232

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
I came across this product that some of the guys here may be interested in.

Background: Apple has decided (in their infinite wisdom) that it would be terrible to include the Serial Port Profile within their Bluetooth stack, thus you cannot simply connect to an external GPS receiver via Bluetooth as you can on other platforms like Android. Apple did include some form of a serial port in their 30 pin connector, but developers cannot access it without going through an extensive authorization process with Apple. It seems the company I linked abvoe has finally cleared all of Apple's roadblocks so that people can get high accuracy GPS data into an i-device. I suspect some people on this forum may be interested in this functionality.
