I'm of the opinion of leaving it on surface it breaks down quicker but burying it give nice place to plant. One system can get you plowed ground to plant into but still leaves residue on surface and that is strip till. As far as making it work, I'm still working on that part. I think it starts with the corn head and you need right tools on strip till bar and planter to make it work.
