I agree with this wholeheartedly. How this is accomplished can take on many forms but row cleaners (or some method of clearing the strip / zone / row) have to enter into the equation at some point in the process unless you are moldboard plowing clean. Personally, I think a good fertility program with the right micros and the right hybrids will help offset many of the toxicity issues. The big issue with residue "here" is ground temperature. We need consistent ground temp to achieve even emergence. And even emergence is the single most important factor at that time of the season, in my opinion.
