Subject: RE: Power Line right a way question?

North Central Texas

JDECILL on our deal we have a neighbor that had just built a new home within the last year and the power company didn't even have the house on their map. The proposed route went right over the top of his house.  He owned much of the land around and had some neighbors that were willing to help and allowed them to adjust the route and get it away from the house. However, when it came time to negoiate $$ they would threaten to move the line back over his house if he didn't take their offer.  In the adjoining county another friend had it go about that distance from his home.  The power company's stance is that there is NO diminished value of your property and home and there are zero health risk.  Attorneys that we spoke with told us that they have seen some power companies claim that the line will actually increase the value of your property as they are bringing progress to your property.  Get ready boys its going to be a bumpy ride.
