I've planted into Sharkey clay soils quite a bit with a 750 but had to replant a lot. If it rained right behind it, I got a good stand. We used the half rate sprocket and plugged every other opening. The clay dried out before the seed got out of the ground, and it appeared that some insect may have eaten some of them. This was before Cruiser seed treatment. We went back to our 38" cotton planter and had better results.
