Subject: Re: Increasing bean yields

I've BEEN planting 1.6's. Kinda scared to go any higher but can probably shoot for 1.8 or higher this coming season.

I guess as far as fertility goes I was just wondering what is just a general N-P-K blend for beans?

I am thinking of using tillage to incorporate my fertilizer and I was just wanting to see if it will make a difference in general. I've heard mixed reviews as to whether a person needs tillage to incorporate P and K.

I've also heard mixed reviews as to whether the cows will cause compaction out there this time of year. I don't think there is much frost but as dry as it is I don't think they are causing any problems with mud.
