you want GPS for guidance, or just for mapping? If for mapping, then your 3000 should work. If for guidance, you'll need a 252/262/372 unlocked to OmniSTAR XP (plus an XP subscription) for the accuracy level you're looking for. You could get one of those receivers at the base level on WAAS, and see how it works for you before upgrading to OmniSTAR.
