Subject: Re: 100 acres of corn per day

South Western Michigan
We farm in southern Michigan. Most of our farms are smaller. One farm is 132 acres in 18 fields. Most fields are within a 10 mile radius. We run a JD 9670 with a 8-30 corn head, 800 bu cart and have two trucks. We are running between 85-100 acres in a decent day. Thats from sun up to sun down. We rarely use the lights. I would say the biggest facto is how you run. When we start in the morning I rarely leave the seat until were done at night. This may seem silly to point out but I know guys that start, take and hour lunch, take ten pee brakes, and basically horse around all day. They are not covering the same acres.
