E.Central MN | If its been sitting that long then you'd be lucky to get $3000. Unless its been maintained in storage, it will take money to get it field ready again, will have to replace the chains, tires and belts probably marginal after that long, cab is usually a big stinky mouse nest and wires will be chewed up. I talked to a neighbor that bought one that had been used recently for $1000 and it was an F2 diesel w/ bean head and 4 row wide corn head. He still plants wide rows so the corn head had value to him otherwise its just a parts head. That was a good deal, but unless the machine is in very good condition they don't have much more value than that, certainly not $5000 around here. Maybe there are more buyers for those small combines in cotton country... | |
