EC Nebraska		We carry one of these ( http://www.gemplers.com/product/6700/3M-Full-Face-Respirator-6000-S... ) with the ammonia cartridges in the tractor when applying NH3, always put it on when changing tanks. A coupler broke once, let out a jet like that but without the hose whipping around. I walked back with mask and gloves on, no trouble to shut off the valve.
Now, with that hose like that, I would have stayed away until it broke off.

Good safety equipment only has to be needed once to pay for itself.
