Central Florida | Breakdown of the lignon requires nitrogen, sulfur and zinc. The bacteria, fungi and molds will use what is in the soil to do this which is why next years crops can run into a shortage of these nutrients if there isn't an ample supply. Adding AMS and some zinc will accelerate the breakdown even when temperature drop to 33 degrees. There was an article titled "Fields that never catch up" that addressed this .
