| That self-catching headgate is still made and sells for about $500 new. I've been considering getting one to replace the manual catch in my barn where I deal with calving "situations". I've never seen one work in action but as self-catch systems goes, that swinging design seems like it would be a lot nicer for baiting a cow into than the ones that they have to force their head through to trigger a spring loaded snap.
The rest of the chute doesn't have too much value since it's not a squeeze chute.
