Subject: Dryland corn variety recommendations for SC Kans, NC Okla

With prepay discounts looming in the next few days/weeks, need to make some decisions..............

Last 2 years have not been good, but I'm going back again as part of my rotation. Been planting at 18K, flex/semi flex ear. I've planted 102 to 111 day corn before. Usually try to spread it out with 2 or 3 varieties to see if I can get timely rain to help. Now I'm thinking I should maybe stay in the 98-102 day range, but not sure. Try to start planting the last week of March and have it in by the first week in April............

Yield and performance trials seem to be all over the map. Just looking for ideas and recommendations..........thanks.
