I'm not to far east of ya and have been thinking the same thing. For the most part we have always planted early corn early (97 day) the last 12 years, but the rain we got 3-4 years ago got us to planting longer hybrids. This years data showed the earlier corn did better, so we are planning to go back to our previous way of thinking. Hope this helps.
