As much as I like Le Creuset and Staub Dutch ovens (why Dutch? ;), being French, they are really imported luxuries here, go with Lodge. Either the seasoned or enameled cast iron will make a fine piece of foundry, with a preference for the enameled that requires less maintenance, and seems to be oven-safe up to 400°F.

I have 8 of their small skillets too, to served scalloped potatoes in one skillet per person, and 2 of their baking pans for pizzas. They were rather cheap at the time, especially with free Amazon Prime shipping, a must for such heavy items, I haven't checked prices recently, but I'm sure it still beats the French ones by a huge margin.

A Dutch oven is called a "cocotte" in French. The meaning should be obvious to all...
