Planted a lot of corn in 2012 but it burned up in the drought (40 bu overall yield), but plan on planting a lot next year. Planted a lot of wheat this fall.
Mix for 2013 - 40% corn, 20% wheat/beans, 10% cotton, 30% full season beans.
I love raising cotton due to the challenge, but corn/bean/wheat rotation is much easier to raise and more profitable right now for our operation.
Question for Southern folks, mainly - how much acreage is already locked in?
