I agree. A vertical tillage tool is nothing more than a 20,000 lb steamroller with 30 feet of narrow rollers instead of one big ten foot wide one. Every spot one of those blades ride over is going to be smashed down with a couple hundred lbs of pressure on a very thin blade. All they do is fit the top 2 inches of soil at 10 mph which happens to work very well for a lot of people. Fortunately a disk can do the same thing and most of the time create a better seedbed doing it.
