I have one that has had more rounds through it than any other shotgun I own. Its length makes it a great pickup varmint gun. It has a nylon strap you put your hand through on the foregrip that helps a lot. It is a 12ga. which everyone thinks would be terrible, but it depends on what load you use. You can buy 1oz 6 shot at wally world for 6$ a box and have a lot of fun without killing your hand, and it still has enough lead to dispatch a ferul cat. What usually gives them a bad name is the classic, my neighbor has one, didn't show me how to hold it properly, and let me shoot it with 3" 00 buck and it hurt my hand--- well duh.
