All depends on if you are a state reliant on brands and have them in your history. A single or double letter brand, especially on the ribs, in WY can go for 5 figures easily. Everyone and their brother seems to think they need one so the easily read brands are long gone, anything left is blotchy and/or would never make a good brand. Ours have been in the family for over 100 years and a few date back to the late 1800's, all letter brands. First ones to get all used up are letter brands on the ribs, then the next thing is either hip or shoulder brands which are harder to put on. I have a brand book from 1916 and all the easy stuff was long gone even by then, you'd be amazed at the stupid cutesy brands they even had back then. Here are a few I ave no idea how you'd ever make them work, has to be for a sign or something.:
