Centralia, MO
I've been using a swing auger for years to unload a 30' hopper and I've never thought it was a problem. A lot easier than backing a 2 ton up to a hopper which I did for years before that. I might add a hopper walker in the future for convenience. I would not recommend side chutes although guys do learn how to deal with them also. I'd also recommend the longest trailer you think you can handle and then go a couple of feet longer than that. You will learn how to maneuver it. I know your thinking your farm yard wasn't designed for turning a semi. Mine wasn't either but I have found I can put about anywhere I want it.
