Subject: Toughest cornstalk baling conditions I've ever seen, in Alliance, NE.

SE Wyoming
I spent the day in Alliance, NE working on three balers. Wind blew the ears and stalks down. Stalks raked into windrows with an H&S rake. Then baled into 3x4's. What a mess I have worked on many balers in stalks before, but I've never seen this amount of corn. I'd say 20+ bushels laying on the ground maybe more. Nothing will mess with the bottom twine tensioners better than whole kernal corn. How is this handled in the spring? Won't the volunteer be a huge problem?
