West Chazy, New York | In theory, the only traction you gain with duals is the extra weight of the dual. You double the amount of tread on the ground, but you halve the weight per tire. You do gain flotation, which can aid in traction by reducing the tendency of the tire to dig in rather than pull the load forward. If you are not having compaction issues, it is much cheaper (and nicer to drive) to add a rack of weights on the front. | |
