This would be on light soils, quite sandy, pH in the 5.9 to 6.3 range. Spring weather can range from cool and wet to cool and dry, never hot. Used to put all the fertility down the spout (single shoot) but with high soil P wanting to just use a small amount to kick start the crop andspend the money saved on K.
