Those that push the "ortho is better" bull crap are the ones who sell ortho products. It is proven that there is NO DIFFERENCE between ortho and poly. It can take anywhere from hours to a few days for poly to convert to orthophosphate.Typically the polyphosphate source is cheaper and that's why we use that form.
