120 tillable acres in 3 tracts (60/25/35) sold at auction on Tuesday. 2 Local farmers split the land at $6700 and $6200 an acre. $6700 an acre buyer was prior farmer of the whole farm and owned land that butted up to the 60 they bought. Other 60 acres was bought by farmer with ground about 2 miles away. These are 155 bu/A corn farms easily. Each of these parcells were less then 1 mile from town limits... in my opinion a good purchase by both buyers for the area.
