Just spent less on a strip till machine then big full width tillage guys spend on fuel. That's why. Now that machine was brand new but been sitting for 5 years and not assembled, and we bought it 50/50 with a relative but if we wanted we could have found a 6 row for similar money. That is a COC machine too if one wanted to. Just playing around with it so far but went into 220 bushel corn stalks and made a very nice place to plant corn. I can guarantee we plant into a better seedbed with strip till then our conventional tillage acres, less compaction, less residue in the seed zone, more even moisture, better structure, and the list goes on and on but important thing is more profit.

And i agree with scmn_06, good thread with lots of good points from both limited tillage guys and full tillage guys.
