Where exactly is there any question at all in the original post?? It looks like a statement to me, a statement that because the the individual who purchased said property near him was somehow unintelligent for having worked this ground that had been no-tilled for 20 some years.

And yes the guy ripping it first year will have an influx of nutrients the first year he rips it after it's been no-tilled, but only the first year. After that he must be doing it for another reason huh?

As far as questions you did ask one, and a loaded one at that, "why someone would actually choose to smear the soil after years of building it up. A simple question. Why do some guys do this?", nothing judgemental in there at all.*******
