As far as gooseneck clearance to the tractor tires, I guess that depends on whether the trailer is a square front or tapered.

Depending on the tractor size though you need to be real careful about moving that ball too far rearward, esp with the ball up high like that or you will tip a smaller tractor back/lose control on the front steering.

Maybe just go get the pickup truck?   I just move a 16 ft bumper pull stock trailer occasionally. No clearance issues.
