SC Kansas | We have an old wooden town elevator that we still use quite a bit. It's very handy. Here's the quandry. To the top of the leg platform is just over 40 feet. To access the floor up there is an old wooden ladder. Actually two wooden ladders wired together. The ascent is quite a nail biter. The descent isn't much better. It's getting just crazy as I get older. I need some common sense ideas from the AgTalk crowd. I can't seem to find reasonable prices on "caged" ladders. Ideally I would like some type of lift system. Winch, hydraulic, etc.. There has to be a safe, simple and reasonable way to get up that forty feet without the white knuckles. Help.
TIA
