Scottish Borders
Just what I was going to say.

We use disposable latex and nitrile gloves in the shop for working with oils diesel and lubricants (diesel on my hands stiffens the joints for a day). Discovered by accident that wearing latex gloves under suede welders gauntlets keeps my purple hands able to move when out on the quad bike for any length of time.

Blueberry hands in cold weather is a thing called primary 'Reynauds Phenomenon' - nothing bad, just a weird reaction to cold weather that causes the hands to seize up due to poor circulation, same as my Dad had.
