Saskatchewan, big whitetail country!!!
I use lightly lined leather gloves unless it is really cold. Cold is relative, and everyone takes the cold differently. I am a furnace internally, and so yesterday I was building fence and never wore gloves all day. It was -5c or about 23 ish F. Just keep the hands dry. I noticed whenever I got some snow on my hands, I would get cold due to the moisture. Once they dried off, the fingers warmed right back up. When it is -40, I use heavier mitts, but I hate the restriction when a job needs to be done. Fumbling with a small nut, or trying to tie a wire or a knot, and the gloves/mitts come off. Drives me nuts to try to do tasks wearing gloves.
