| You should. But I just try to remember to drain the pressure off. When I noticed the leak, it brought back a memory from childhood. A friends dad was not doing well after some news came to him. I guess one of his co-workers at a fab shop was killed or very badly injured after an ecetylene explosion. What I remember hearing was that someone had finished with the torch and laid the mixer over a barrel lip with the mixer in the barrel. I guess it was not turned off something and when the friend had went to strike a flame,.......ka-boom!!!! That story stuck with me for several years and I did get into the habit of turning the bottles off even between uses on the same project, in the same day. Sometimes I would get upset when I forgot to turn them back on and had to get back out from under something to turn them on, but I am glad the habit is ingrained. |
