WC Illinois
112 day corn planted march 20th harvested at 16% moisture the second week of August....crazy year. I think Joel, jbgruver, planted his at a more typical time....Mid Sept, that have done just as much good. I planted some turnips the second week of September to graze my cows on and they have had tons of growth as well. Overall, a great fall for cover crops......last fall was so dry September planted covers did not germinate until late October...that didn't work out well. Like you Jim, trying to see how/if they will work for us. Might try aeirally seeding up north??
