| Really good burger joint called Poipu Burgers I believe. Best burger I ever had. We happened to go on an evening that they had a lady singing and a guy playing the ukulele. They were really good. Stayed at Kiahuna plantation. http://www.castleresorts.com/Home/accommodations/kiahuna-plantation... Nice part about staying there is that they have a full kitchen. Eating out all the time is expensive. We had an ocean view room. About a 30 yard walk to the beach across a yard like a putting green. No heat or A/C. Don't need either.
Little less crowded than the east side of the island. We never made it to the north side. Fork out the dough for a helicopter ride if you've never done it. I think we used Blue Hawaian.
I think Kauai had a lot of midwesterners. I also called it the redneck island as the most popular vehicle seemed to be a toyota pickup with a lift kit. Its a quieter/more relaxing atmosphere where we stayed. | |
