First two are the barn repainted this summer. I thought Dave9110 would like the new color. LOL
- A on saving lot of talk saving hay. So I took pictures of how i have been feeding hay. I just roll the hay down the hill. I find i am not getting much waste and it lets all of the animals get hay at once. My opinion on the waste this way is it goes back to regenerating the pasture. Picture farther down of hay waste at the ring. This pasture is overgrazed and beat up, but I'm out of water where I have grass and I have pictures farther down of where i should be grazing. The big hope is to get enough rain to get the creek flowing. I am looking at hooking on to city water in this pasture if it is affordable. I'm working on a rear mounted bale roller by converting a pickup mounted deweze into a 3 pt attach.
- Some one was asking about how to feed corn seep. This is how i feed Mix 30 and that is a cornstalk bale in the ring. There will be huge waste from the corn stalk bales. Feeding them along with unrolled hay as they hay is going quickly and having water problems at the lot and silo. May have to dig a well. got moisture on top but no subsoil moisture. The well that i thought i would never have a problem with is giving me fits now. I'm digging to make sure i don't have a leak about impossible to find a leak as it will never show up on top of the ground.
- Picture of heifers for TC and hauling water to that well about once a week and my water/ chemical spraying trailer. Should have zoomed in on the heifers better. The white faces i bought. Haven't preg checked yet. Neighbor had 5 heifers bred out of 12. Scary
- The problem with having a V10 cow truck. LOL Much better fuel economy than the 86 ford F350 I had before with a 460 that I believe got about 50 foot per gal>
-Some bulldozing trying to clean up a pasture that had improper grazing and mowing techniques. Brush killer would have helped also.
