Thanks guys for the replies.  I guess I'll talk with Verizon about it.  I've talked before and decided to just save the money.  I don't have other phones on a family plan.  My LG-VX9200 is data capable and I had to talk with Verizon about refusing the data plan when I bought it.

I like a lot of what I see you can do with an IPAD so I am trying to justify it.  I realized when I walked in the door this evening that I had left my cell phone on my desk for a few hours.  That is okay, I don't want to become addicted to it.  Time is precious enough that spending time on-line or on the phone is not a priority.
