Central Kansas | I had a 1480 that was 5 years old when we bought it in 1985 (replaced 2 Gleaners), ran it for 22 seasons and finally had an opportunity to buy a 2188 in 2007. The machine was a good one but the paint job was horrible! The machine must have set out for the first 5 years of it's life but after we got it, it seen the dark of a shed almost 100% of the time, hardly ever got rained on. The paint looked like a machine that was 20 years old. They must have used better quality paint in the later years as my 2188 (95 model) is bright red and looks near new yet today.
