Subject: 936 versatile

Looked at a 1988 936 versatile. 8800 hours on the tractor. In the last 1200 or so hours the engine has had an in frame overhaul, the tranny has been replaced, clutch has been replaced, all driveshaft U joints replaced, and the rear differential rebuilt. Last year they had to replace more gears and bearings in the transmission. Pivot pins are not perfect but ok. Planetaries were flipped at some point. Cab is immaculate, outside paint is faded, just what you'd expect. All of the work is documented- to the tune of $30,000+. It's a 2 owner tractor, the current owner has owned it since the mid 90's. Inside 20.8 - 42's are new, filled with fluid, duals are 30% and dry. Anyway, I just had a few questions-
Are the manual transmissions in these things weak? They were the same tranny as many of the older high horse versatiles: 875, 895...etc., but this one has had 2 major overhauls in a pretty short time. Just a fluke? maybe I would never have to touch it again? cab mounts jacking it around?
What should it cost from a private seller?
