northmofarm - 11/15/2012 14:26 If its dry I'd work it deep right now. Hate to do that if its HEL ground though. If you spray it now and kill the grass it may soften up in the spring and smooth out a little. If conditions are perfect you may raise a good crop the first year, but I don't usually have much luck that first year. Corn is better than beans for sure. Beans don't seem to have the root strength to get through all the cover of sod.

I disagree.  Soybeans no-till seeded into sod work beautifully.
