Anderson County Kansas | I have broke up a lot of sod over the years. If its to rough to notill I have the best luck spraying it in the fall, and them working it with a field cultivator in the spring to smooth it up. The roots will be rotted enough to work up nice. I have broke grass in the spring with just several passes with a field cultivator. I think if you have to work it, the shallower you disturb the soil structure the better off you will be. | |
